Construction Claims Manager Jobs

Excellent interpersonal and time management skills as well as a high degree of sound judgment, discretion, and initiative.

Partner with business units and TPA to utilize all tools available for ‘Return To Work’ programs, nurse case management, etc.

Communicate with the Director, Claims Management to develop case strategy in effort to ensure the best possible results

Assist with general liability, auto liability, subrogation, property claims and other special claim management projects as necessary (5%)

Develop and manage fleet management safety and claims programs for company car drivers (5%)

Special projects assigned by Director, Claims Management and VP, Risk Management (10%)

10 years relevant experience of which at least 3 years should have been in a management capacity/ leadership role.

Manage claims spend in line with growth cost per claims targets. (Average cost of claim.)

Identify, control, manage and minimise operational risks, fraud and claims leakage.

Manage relationships relating to the non- payment of claims

Develop work routines in line with operational plans / schedules in order to manage achievement of service delivery goals.

Share knowledge on, and participate in the creation of new standards, control systems and procedures to maintain service delivery.

Exceptional communication skills including the ability to develop and present clear and concise analysis and recommendations to senior management

Strong ability to engage/interact with leadership, writing and analysis skills, and autonomous/self-starter

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

One of the current certifications (CPC, CHC, CCS, CCS-P, CIC, COC, CRC, CPMA, RHIT, RHIA) strongly preferred

Ten years of experience including at least 5 years working/supervising in a claims department is required

Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):

· Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a supervisor or manager

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

· 10 + years of overall claims experience preferred

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
