Two years' experience with data management.

Support the deployment and management of CSO's Instability Monitoring and Analysis Platform.

Manage data streams for the Advanced Analytics teams including keeping up to date internal repositories for public and official sources.

Demonstrated experience in communicating insights from structured and unstructured data to non- technical audiences.

(IMAP) to include content curation and systems administration.

Ensure conflict analysis products and IMAP content are kept up to date and are founded in rigorous political science theories.

Organizes meetings and events. Works with and maintains data management and filing for projects/program.

Assists assigned managers and team members by maintaining calendars, receiving and composing communications as correspondence, and replies to inquiries.

Handles preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for domestic and international travel.

Drafts contracts, budgets, and donor reports with direction from manager. Processes financial documents including contracts, expense reports, invoices, etc.

Serves as an administrator of work product with other programs/departments, i.e. finance, program development, public information, etc.

The Program Assistant also may conduct applied research and provide substantive support to the project.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Equally at home conversing with gang members, community activists, law enforcement personnel, and public officials.

Experience supervising formerly incarcerated individuals is a plus.

Must obtain and maintain of Education (DOE) fingerprint clearance

Knowledge of the Brownsville & Canarsie community.

Experience working with court-involved young adults.

Experience working with staff with criminal justice histories preferred.

At least 2 years of research or Conflicts related experience (required).

Intermediate-level knowledge of research procedures and methodology.

Analyze and evaluate both the reference source research results and conflicts reports to determine whether conflicts-of-interest may exist with incoming parties;

Update the corporate hierarchies or "family trees” in the Firm's conflicts database and billing database;

Conduct pro-active research of mergers, acquisitions and potential bankruptcies using various business reference sources and record findings in the conflicts database;

Research and process requests including close, reopen, client, matter, and mailing/contact change requests;

Position: Assistant Program Manager (Outreach Worker Supervisor)

What The Assistant Program Manager (Outreach Worker Supervisor) Does:

Maintain knowledge of trends, developments and new technologies impacting the Business Intake and Conflicts Department

Prior conflicts experience preferred. Without comparable experience, Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience in performing and understanding conflict checks, understanding and use of automated conflict checking software, preferred.

Experience with corporate family tree research, and other web-based research on individuals and entities.

Prior law firm experience and experience with standard suite of Windows products (Word, Outlook, Excel) preferred.

Review and triage conflict requests to ensure that information to be checked is complete and accurate.

All other tools, materials, and communication requirements for the supported project(s)

Experience in quantitative research methods on topics related to peace, conflict, and governance.

Experience with development of research products (briefs, reports, analysis plans).

Interest, experience, and/or coursework in quantitative research methods (i.e., survey design, data collection, cleaning, and analysis).

Knowledge of SPSS, STATA, R, or other statistical software preferred.

Interest, experience, and/or coursework in mixed-methods research preferred.
