Community Engagement Fellow Jobs

Experience in community engagement, event planning, or social media management.

Collaborate with local businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofits to broaden our reach.

Create and distribute resourceful and educational materials for community outreach.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Organize, plan, and lead community meetups, workshops, and events focused on financial literacy topics.

Develop and implement social media campaigns to engage the community and raise awareness about financial literacy.

1-2 years minimum of experience in a professional workplace setting

General comfort and interest in using art materials, though deep knowledge is not required;

Attend 2-hour in-person training sessions in advance of events

Assist with materials preparation and set up

Maintain cleanliness and order in the activity areas

Assist in clean up and break down after event

Develop and manage a robust program for individuals and groups for ongoing and one-time volunteer opportunities.

Strategically plan, coordinate, and execute experiences that connect volunteers to BGCCO’s mission and cultivate long-term relationships.

Assist the Advancement Team with events and experiences that engage members, supporters, increase brand awareness, and grow revenue.

Working knowledge of community organizing.

Strong interpersonal skills accompanied by a proven track-record of participating on successful teams.

Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills – both verbal and written.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, Basecamp, etc.

2 or more years of community-centered work or project experience.

Experience building and maintaining relationships with communities in Chicago.

Liaise with stakeholders in the Puerto Rican community in Chicago.
