Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent Jobs

3 - 5 years of experience in commercial construction with strong project management and communications skills

Communicate project progress with clients and project managers

Manage subcontractors and construction site organization

Oversee daily operation of construction projects

Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed

Ability to read construction documents

Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.

Partners with project management to identify schedule and costs associated with project changes.

Assumes responsibility for management, scheduling, production, safety and quality on projects or a portion of projects.

Utilizes awareness, experience and knowledge to identify problems and recommends solutions for review and implementation by the team.

Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management to projects.

Proficiency in project management and accounting software (Intermediate).

Familiarity with Project Management skills, including scope, schedule, and budget management

Hands-on manager who is comfortable directing and evaluating on-site personnel by staying engaged in all aspects of the project

Experience managing, scheduling and communicating with local, state, and third-party inspection agencies.

Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously under time constraints

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:

Implementing effective project scheduling, resource allocation, and site management strategies.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience and skills.

Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to define project scope, goals, and objectives.

A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in civil utilities and/or site work projects.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams to successful project completion.

2 years previous commercial construction management experience is required

Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management or Engineering preferred

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented

Strong working knowledge of programs such as Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor

Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience all a plus

Project lead experience a plus

OSHA 30 Certification preferred

Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on audience appropriate business writing and verbal skills

In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.

5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor

Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience all a plus

Project lead experience preferred Previous experience in a superintendent or project lead experience preferred
