Clinical Trial Research Nurse I Jobs in California

Provides medication management services to clients with mental or emotional disorders

Provides case management services to selected clientele

Provides patient counseling and education related to clinical care needs

Administers psychotropic medications and monitors side effects

With supervision, assist in the accurate and appropriate study test article management.

Support the effective financial management of the clinical trial.

Other duties as assigned by appropriate management.

Assist in the identification and procurement of equipment and supplies needed to fulfill protocol requirements.

With guidance from the PI, communicate with and educate the research participant about study activities and requirements, as needed.

No supervisory responsibilities. May oversee specific tasks of non-licensed clinical trial research staff and provide feedback to supervisor.

May implement and coordinate department-wide initiatives such as research quality management or clinical trial recruitment efforts.

Participates in required training and education programs.

Provides clinical research expertise by participating in the design and implementation of research projects as needed by the department or institution.

Responsible for specific and assigned aspects of research infrastructure development and/or maintenance.

Coordinates research projects at an institutional or departmental level.

Communicates project status and improvement areas with leadership in a timely manner.

Recognizes and implements legal and ethical responsibilities and duties of registered nurses;

Seeks supervision and guidance in developing nursing skills, in performing procedures not yet mastered, and when functioning in unfamiliar situations.

Must possess and maintain the following certification(s) during employment:

For clinical specialty areas, must possess and maintain the following certification(s) during employment:

Utilize educational resources available for promoting self-learning;

Ability to perform physical skills required to deliver patient care;

Experience with and knowledge of judicial processes in the California Court System.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

Recent experience conducting civil, administrative, or criminal investigations in the State of California.

Experience writing reports, evaluating information, and making recommendations.

Experience reading and interpreting RAP sheets and/or investigative data.

Experience using software, databases, or law enforcement systems to conduct investigations.

Continuously assess safety improvement opportunities and communicate to departmental management.

Proactively communicate issues and/or problem resolutions to departmental supervisors and managers.

Degree from accredited Registered Nurse, Paramedic or equivalent program required. Related work experience preferred.

Current BLS certification - required

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Perform scheduled inspection of emergency crash carts, inventory/inspect the contents and maintain up to date records.

W/ supervision, assist in the accurate & appropriate study test article management.

Support the effective financial management of the clinical trial.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Assist in the identification & procurement of equipment & supplies needed to fulfill protocol requirements.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Demonstrate effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
