Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in nursing; and

All of the following (a and b):

Monitors accrediting, and regulatory criteria to maintain compliance, and assure compliance requirements are maintained.

Supervise and evaluate the work of subordinate staff nurses, and medical/clerical nurse unit coordinators to insure 24 hour nursing coverage.

Provides input to develop policies and procedures to improve the quality of care.

Integrates standards of nursing care to maintain optimal level of care is provided to offenders.

Integrates standards of nursing care to update policies and procedures.

Establish and maintain guidelines for nursing staff to assure optimal care within assigned areas of medical and mental health.
