Class A Casual Driver Jobs

Drivers must have a positive, friendly attitude, and possess great customer service skills.

Safely and efficiently move trailers throughout the yard, and back up trailers to bay doors for loading as directed by Supervisor.

Requires working outdoors, in inclement weather conditions.

Requires a CDL – Class A; great opportunity for training with clean driving record.

Will be required to drive short and/or long distances to pick up loads from vendors.

Must be 21+ years of age.

Verify the daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and report any problems with the vehicle to the Dispatch Manager.

Make note of any discrepancies and report them to the Dispatch Manager as soon as possible.

Comply with all DOT requirements.

Field Construction delivery experience helpful.

Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

1 yr verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.

Good driving record / MVR.

Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.

Class A City Casual Driver, $31.61 hr

Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment

Preference given to applicants with commercial truck driving experience or educational equivalent

Load and deliver windows to customers

Drive both a bobtail truck and tractor-trailer

Able to pull and/or push up to 100lbs

Operate in accordance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws

Maintain accurate record keeping, meet dispatch schedules

Class A Yard hostler will check trailers before pulling away from the dock doors.

Ability to work in fast paced environment, moving approximately 50 moves per shift.

Yard Hostler will need to keep windows clean and the interiors free of trash.

Pre and Post shift inspections are required on assigned yard goat each day.

DVIR must be completed for post shift inspection.

Ability to lift 20-45 lbs.

This is a casual position not permanent but does have the potential to become permanent.

You can be let go at any time for any reason while in a casual status.

The hourly wage is $20.60

Hours are assigned daily as needed based on vessel operations.

You MUST have a current TWIC to apply.

CDL with hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.

Both AM and PM shifts will be available

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must pass all required training

Have not worked for FedEx Express within the last 6 months

Ability to pass a Drug screen/Background Check

Must have good driving record for the past 12 months

One year of commercial driving experience (Two years of commercial driving experience preferred).

Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR

5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

Daily Pay: $254.40 Per Day Worked
