Business Development Economic Analyst Jobs in California

Experience in a Business Development or Marketing role with related analytical experience in a legal or professional services environment is preferred

Experience responding to ad-hoc requests, developing analysis, and producing reports

Experience with CRM platforms is preferred (InterAction, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce)

Researching and completing profiles in the firm’s CRM database; making recommendations regarding the system configuration and/or processes for data collection

Partnering with lawyers and BD colleagues to leverage data and insights to win new business

Ensuring the integrity of the data by processing duplicates and verifying information

Competitive intelligence - understand emerging industry trends and educate the rest of the company; update strategy, offers, and products accordingly.

2+ years of electricity industry experience with a broad understanding of how the industry works

Strong financial modeling skills – comfortable with DCF, IRR, NPV

4+ years electricity industry experience

Experience with energy storage technology and value propositions across residential and C&I verticals

Energy storage modeling experience, preferably in wholesale markets

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously

3+ years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights

Experience from working in/with the electric vehicle, energy or battery industry (optional)

Conduct customer research and competitive analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and threats.

Build new pricing models and sales tools to track customer progress and achieve growth and profitability goals.

Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered.

3+ years pricing, finance or accounting experience required. Supply chain / logistics pricing experience preferred.

Highly motivated and able to complete tasks with limited management supervision.

Experience managing RFI/RFP responses is a plus.

Experience engaging directly with customers on various project assignments

Must be proficient in Excel. Knowledge of JDE and Manhattan Scale is a plus

Minimum of 7 years of experience in development, planning, project management, finance, or related fields.

Demonstrated leadership and management experience to integrate academic and administrative activities.

Collaborate and partner with regional leadership in education, government, industry, and non-profits in the development of regional economic development strategy

Obtain funding for economic development projects for the benefit of the university and surrounding community

Preferred: Experience in a non-profit, university or public sector environment.
