Overview A Business Development Representative (BDR) is a sales professional who is responsible for generating leads and developing relationships with potential customers. They are responsible for researching and identifying potential customers, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with those customers. Detailed Job Description A Business Development Representative is responsible for researching and identifying potential customers, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with those customers. They are responsible for researching and understanding the customer’s needs and requirements, and then developing and presenting solutions that meet those needs. They must be able to effectively communicate with customers, both verbally and in writing, and be able to negotiate and close deals.
