Building Maintenance Superintendent 1 Jobs in New York

High School diploma (GED) and/or Vocational School Certification in related building trade plus (4) years minimum experience in building management.

Intermediate computer knowledge is required. Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications and Asset Management Software (CMMS).

Knowledge of problems involved in establishing/maintaining and developing effective work procedures.

Knowledge of obtaining, storing, safeguarding, distributing, and using equipment/materials/supplies, and of keeping records.

Provides supervision, guidance, and support to the Assistant Supervisor and Maintenance Worker (s).

Supervises and assists various maintenance staff in maintenance repair work and preventive maintenance programs.

Applicant must have experience with apartment preparation and must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Walk grounds and common areas of buildings to check for hazards and litter.

Common Area and grounds cleaning as needed.

Mow grass, and trim edges, trees, bushes, and weeds as needed.

Keep all walks clean of debris, snow, and ice.

Snowplow parking lot, plow/shovel sidewalk, and salt as needed.
