Experience in FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis spectroscopy, XRF spectrometry, GCMS, SEM

Experience in data analysis and data visualization using Python and MATLAB

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Collaborates with Scientist in Charge and Associate Research Scientist to plan NICS scientific work

Performs data analysis, statistical and chemometric analysis

Previous art-historical research experience in an academic or museum setting preferred, especially early 20th century

Excellent communication and organizational skills, proven ability to multitask and to work independently as well as collaboratively

Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro/Photoshop

Maintain working checklist in TMS and maintain object files

Assist with grant opportunities or other fund-raising opportunities, as needed, as well as applications for Immunity from Seizure and Indemnification

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Broad subject knowledge and experience with bibliographic records.

Experience working in an academic library technical services setting.

Experience working in Special Collections repository.

Experience handling rare and fragile materials.

Familiarity or knowledge of cataloging standards.
