Body Shop Laborer Jobs

Previous Construction / Shop Experience Preferred.

Perform general cleaning of the shop facility and the shop yard as required.

Mow and trim grass around the shop and shop yard.

Empty shop trash cans and bins.

Use of a water truck to water down the shop yard for dust control.

Run a sweeper on the road for dust control.

May assist with parts and sublet invoice data entry into management software

Update and Maintain contact notes in CCC One and Body Shop Management Software

Update Body Shop Management Software with accurate production status, projected delivery dates

Time Management – ability to manage one’s own time.

7+ years of progressive experience building and managing body shop teams

Strong technical skills in networking, hardware, and software systems

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.

A minimum of one year supervisory experience in transit/vehicle maintenance operation, including supervision in a union environment preferred.

Knowledge of all types of welding and welding equipment including steel, aluminum, and gas.

Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.

Supervises union employees, monitors daily workload of the body shop, assigns work, monitors progress and quality of repairs.

B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering; or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.

Have working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability.

3D CAD experience in reviewing and modifying 3D models of tooling and product.

Experience creating various reports and database tools for presentation to Executive Leaders within the organization.

Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and configuration is preferable.

Experience with robot programming, backup and restoration is preferable.

Assist Body Shop Technician with his/her job responsibilities

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

Automotive body shop experience preferred

Ensure registrations and insurance documents are valid in all trucks

Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day

Must possess a valid driver license
