Assign application and recertifications to staff; review recommendations and sign off on all benefits, as well as case entries.

Overview A Benefits Associate is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department in the areas of employee benefits, payroll, and other related tasks. The Benefits Associate is responsible for ensuring that employee benefits are administered in accordance with company policies and procedures. Detailed Job Description The Benefits Associate is responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other voluntary benefits. The Benefits Associate is also responsible for ensuring that all employee benefit information is accurately recorded and maintained in the company’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The Benefits Associate is responsible for responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits, and for providing assistance to employees in enrolling in and making changes to their benefits. The Benefits Associate is also responsible for ensuring that all employee benefit information is accurately reported to the appropriate government agencies. The Benefits Associate is responsible for assisting with the administration of the company’s payroll system, including entering employee time and attendance information, processing payroll changes, and ensuring that all payroll information is accurately reported to the appropriate government agencies. The Benefits Associate is also responsible for assisting with the administration of the company’s retirement plan, including enrolling employees in the plan, processing employee contributions, and ensuring that all retirement plan information is accurately reported to the appropriate government agencies. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of employee benefits, payroll, and retirement plans
• Ability to maintain accurate records and to enter data into the HRIS
• Ability to respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• At least two years of experience in a Human Resources or Benefits role
• Professional certification in Human Resources or Benefits (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, etc.)
