Background Check Specialist (Management Analyst 3)

Advise and train applicants, staff, and stakeholders regarding department background check processes and requirements.

Experience reading and interpreting Washington State Patrol (WSP) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Records of Arrest and Prosecution (RAP) documents.

Understanding of agency policies, WAC, RCW, and federal laws related to background checks and child abuse and neglect history check requirements.

Computer Voice Stress Analyzer (CVSA) Certification to be completed and obtained within twelve (12) months of obtaining the position.

Must possess good interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work well with others.

Must possess basic problem-solving abilities.

LEO experience within the last two (2) years preferred.
