Supporting the EPDM roofing business through new product development, processing and performance improvement, raw material qualification and cost reduction projects.

Experience in the development of rubber products and their associated processing technologies such as mixing, extrusion and calendaring are a plus

Theoretical and practical knowledge of the physical, chemical, and mechanical behavior of the thermoplastic polymers

Knowledge to analyze data, understand structure property relationships of polymers and conduct relative testing and evaluations

Experience with FTIR, DSC, TGA and rheology analysis of polymers

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for data-driven insights, and translate these into actionable solutions.

7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles.

Experience with AI, large language models, and machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, and deep learning.

Experience with big data technologies, such as Spark, and cloud platforms, such as Azure.

Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

Autonomously manage day-to-day research activities with in-depth technical knowledge and experience in cardiovascular field

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Designs and executes experimental protocols for assigned projects

Serves as an authoritative source on research practices, precedents, theory, and principles

Supervises students and staff and ensures all projects are completed in a timely fashion.

Establishes policies and procedures for the research project

Participates with management in discussions with corresponding scientific personnel at regulatory agencies and with investigators concerning proposed or ongoing studies.

Participates in database design meetings to ensure that the data evaluated are in high quality and satisfy analysis requirements.

Solid knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design.

Working knowledge of statistical and data processing software e.g. SAS and/or R.

Good understanding of worldwide regulatory requirements and clinical trial expertise from phase II to V.

Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to function effectively in a team environment.

Collaborate effectively with Biobank to ensure proper management of samples used by the molecular pathology lab.

Other Responsibilities / Detailed Duties

Optimize development of novel IHC assays in support of compound development programs.

Perform analytic validation on optimized histology assays.

Utilize digital slide scanning platform to scan whole slide images and QC metadata.

Generate data in compliance with appropriate regulations, policies and SOPs.

Excellent leadership and project management skills to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive scientific initiatives is required.

Experience with data analysis software, programming languages (Python, R), and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is preferred.

Experience with engineering CHO/HEK cell line for altering expression level/post translational modification such as glycoengineering is preferred.

Knowledge of microfluidics droplet generation and screening is preferred.

Experience with protein engineering of therapeutic proteins such as antibodies and cytokines is preferred.

Knowledge of plasmid DNA design for optimizing protein expression is preferred.
