As Digital Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for defining and developing the digital engineering strategy and leading a team through project execution. You will deliver impactful analytical insights and recommendations of new technologies to ensure optimal decision-making. You will also focus on delivering productivity improvements, while building trust with stakeholders internally and externally.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for data-driven insights, and translate these into actionable solutions.
  • Develop the full insight lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and support, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics solutions, including AI, large language models, and machine learning techniques, to support GSK's data and analytics platform.
  • Ensure the highest standards of data privacy, security, and compliance are maintained throughout the data and analytics lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas, methodologies, and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, using clear and concise language that is easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science to ensure GSK remains at the forefront of innovation in the healthcare industry.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles.
  • Master's degree or higher in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with AI, large language models, and machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, and deep learning.
  • Experience with big data technologies, such as Spark, and cloud platforms, such as Azure.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Proficient with MLOps with a strong understanding of model serving and monitoring.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end data-driven solutions in a healthcare or biotech setting.
