Assistant In Speech Language Pathology Jobs in Ohio

Provides screening to identify students with suspected speech-language disabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

Central Office - Special Education and Related Services

Collaborates with the SLP supervisor on evidence based interventions to help students achieve their speech-language goals and objectives on their IEPs.

Collaborates with the SLP supervisor regarding information on students’ IEPs.

Keeps progress and tracking data using qualitative and quantitative information for individual students receiving speech-language services.

Able to strategize techniques for student behavior management

Prior SLPA experience in educational or clinical settings is preferred

Adapts or modifies instructional materials and/or equipment as determined by student needs and abilities

Knowledge of language, articulation and acquired disorders as well as associated rehabilitation

Experience with terminology related to communicative disorders

Work directly with students following documented treatment plans or protocols developed by supervisor

Document student attendance, performance, data collection in web-based system

Assist with records and graphs

Assist with clerical duties as assigned by the SLP

Ability to follow SLP instructions

Relate to students in a positive manner
