Assistant Recreation Coordinator Jobs in Texas

Performs program coordination; assists and implements adult and youth activities.

Register new members; prints membership cards; makes facility reservations; answers phone calls regarding recreation programs and services.

Performs customer service; answers questions; conducts facility tours; provides assistance regarding the use of facility equipment; responds to complaints from participants.

Provides work direction and training to seasonal and part-time staff.

Performs marketing; creates flyers to promote programs and services; advises the public regarding program/service changes or closures.

Performs general office duties, including filing, copying and reports preparation.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management.

Implements, develops, recommends, and coordinates administrative tasks and procedures in the areas of event management, pre-event and post-event planning

Assists with sponsorship asset and benefit proposals/agreements

Offer flexibility and adaptability, especially during times of change.

Develop and plan activity programs to allow participation by residents within their capabilities.

Work with the interdisciplinary team to schedule activities and meet survey requirements.

Complete a Comprehensive evaluation on each resident.

Document the individual activity assessment and activity plan using the appropriate process and forms. Maintains appropriate documentation.

Attends in-service trainings and maintains required certifications.

No previous work experience required.

Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.

Must hold a Shallow Water Lifeguard Certification or obtain the certification within 30 days of hire

How many years of cash handling experience do you have?

Knowledge of basic accounting as it relates to program budgeting.

Knowledge of personal computers and how to use various programs including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and various computer programs for Department.

Knowledge of volunteer development services.

Bi-lingual skills including English preferred.

Hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certifications at hire or within (4) months.
