Proven experience handling highly confidential and sensitive materials and situations;

Must be able to work independently, prioritize work, and independently manage multiple and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

Collaborate with Business Services staff, campus departments, granting and government agencies and others to ensure compliance with all required guidelines.

Peer review grant and contractual proposal(s) for external funding to verify compliance with institutional policies, applicable laws and regulations, and

Liaise with the Institutional Research Board (IRB) Compliance Administrator on ensuring compliance with regulations regarding human and animal subjects, as

Serve as a Research Trainee Programs liaison on behalf of trainee/program with internal departments, i.e. Benefits, Payroll, PeopleSoft, etc.

Validate appointment history and compose formal standard responses to requests for verification of educational training of research and observer trainees.

Assist with coordinating educational sessions for new administrative staff and quarterly RTP workshops.

Work Location: Remote (within Texas only)

Provide customer service and administrative support to trainees, educational programs and departments. (20%)

Responsible for hiring trainees receiving compensation incompliance with institutional policies and government regulations.

Comprehensive knowledge of college student development theory, program assessment, and high-impact practices research

Comprehensive knowledge in diversity, equity, and inclusion theories and applications

Master’s degree or equivalent in higher education administration, college student personnel, or counseling is required.

Other responsibilities related to the Division of Student Development

Leads the planning and implementation team for New Spider Orientation

Assist with pre-matriculation communications plan for incoming first-year and transfer students, in collaboration with Academic Advising and Office of Admission

3-5 years of office experience or experience that would produce a similar skillset

Strongly preferred: experience in a higher education setting and an understanding of the role of faculty at an educational institution

Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and confidently identify and manage priorities

Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe

Emotional maturity and the ability to exercise sound judgment in a diplomatic and discreet manner while working in a high-profile environment
