Coordinates with the MTS Rail System Safety Manager with respect to wayside maintenance requirements, audits, corrective action plans, policy, and procedures.
Establishes and promulgates rules, standard operating procedures, and required training programs for wayside maintenance and track personnel.
Reviews system failures or potential system failures to ascertain mitigation plans.
Directs investigations and initiates corrective action, as appropriate, into equipment failures and departmental incidents.
Reviews operating and maintenance reports and develops preventive maintenance procedures, as deemed necessary and appropriate.
