Overview The Assistant Director of Education and Special Events is responsible for developing and managing educational and special events programs for an organization. This position works closely with the Director of Education and Special Events to ensure that all programs are successful and meet the organization’s goals. Detailed Job Description The Assistant Director of Education and Special Events is responsible for developing and managing educational and special events programs for an organization. This position works closely with the Director of Education and Special Events to ensure that all programs are successful and meet the organization’s goals. The Assistant Director will be responsible for researching and developing new programs, coordinating and managing existing programs, and providing support to the Director of Education and Special Events. Job Skills Required• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of event planning and management
• Knowledge of educational program development
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Event Planning, or related field
• At least two years of experience in event planning and/or educational program development
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
