Overview Aquarists are responsible for the care and maintenance of aquatic life in aquariums, zoos, and other aquatic facilities. They are responsible for the health and well-being of the aquatic animals, as well as the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Detailed Job Description Aquarists are responsible for the daily care and maintenance of aquatic life in aquariums, zoos, and other aquatic facilities. They must monitor the health and well-being of the aquatic animals, as well as the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Aquarists must also feed the animals, clean the tanks, and perform regular maintenance on the tanks and equipment. They must also monitor water quality and make sure the tanks are properly aerated. Aquarists must also be knowledgeable about the different species of aquatic life and be able to identify any health issues. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of aquatic life and their habitats
• Knowledge of water quality and tank maintenance
• Ability to identify health issues in aquatic life
• Ability to feed and care for aquatic life
• Ability to clean and maintain tanks and equipment

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, or a related field
• Experience working with aquatic life
• Knowledge of water quality and tank maintenance
• Ability to identify health issues in aquatic life
• Ability to feed and care for aquatic life
• Ability to clean and maintain tanks and equipment
• Ability to monitor water quality
Job Knowledge
Aquarists must have a thorough knowledge of aquatic life and their habitats, as well as water quality and tank maintenance. They must also be knowledgeable about the different species of aquatic life and be able to identify any health issues.
Job Experience
Aquarists must have experience working with aquatic life. This experience can be gained through internships, volunteer work, or working in a related field.
