Minimum experience required of the position:

Helper 1st Year: 0 years experience required

Apprentice 1st Year: Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program OR prior demonstrated linework experience required

Installation, removal and maintenance of OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.

Installation of OH/UG transformers and the wiring of all types of transformer banks.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

(C) Four years experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Performs skilled work in the reconstructing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment, including substation, distribution systems, transformers, and power lines.

(B) Certification as a journey line worker.

(D) Skill in the operation of aerial manlifts, climbing poles and rescue techniques for both.

Digs holes, frames poles, sets poles, hangs transformers, sags wire, energizes power lines. Sets distribution and transmission poles, anchors and guys.
