Manages, directly or indirectly, teams of employees that are dedicated to the Applications Engineering within Pearson business.

Bachelor’s degree Engineering with a minimum of (7) seven years of experience managing engineering teams.

Demonstrated experience working with Sales on the pre-sale support of technical solutions

Excellent technical, verbal communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Travel requirement up to 20%

Develop and empower Applications Engineering organization and team strategies that support the direction and goals of the business.

SBIR and Military collaboration to create up-armor panels, drydocks, pillboxes, rocket test facilities, and F35 landing pads.

Strong knowledge of computer and Microsoft products

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding.

Willingness and ability to work in the United States; primarily locations are Cincinnati, OH or Lynn, MA.

Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available

Engineering aptitude and passion for aerospace technology

Experience in technology, engineering, SaaS product management, sales, and business administration

Technical skill and/or ability to acquire in‐depth knowledge and use of nZero products

Sustainability education i.e. Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions

Some knowledge of sustainability and carbon accounting concepts; strong desire to learn sustainability and carbon reduction strategies

Implement standards for requirements documentation, development and test environments, change control, code management and bug tracking.

Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing program budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Manage ongoing development partners to ensure high performance service delivery and optimized cost basis.

Strong experience in IT applications development and delivery.

Self-motivated with good organization and time management skills.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Strong PC Skills (spreadsheets, word processing)

Experience with CAD software, Solidworks preferred.

Create CAD models, exploded views, and drawings.

Create installation and service technical documents.

Gather requirements for new applications or enhancements to create project scopes and supporting documentation

Above average communication skills, written and verbal - attention to detail is a must

Major Responsibilities (may vary depending on project):

Monitor, research and complete help desk tickets for end-user support and troubleshooting

Create and update user guides, manuals, work instructions, test scripts, etc.

Participate in user acceptance testing for new applications and enhancements

Effective communication skills with your peers and leaders

Interest in learning the life skills of a Software Developer

Explore and integrate the Chaos tools like the chaos toolkit into our deployment pipelines

Research experimentation and pivoting to alternatives after reviews and gathering feedback from the teams

Proficient in 2 programming languages

Assist Engineers in the design and development of tooling, processes, and equipment.

Currently attend a Maryland higher education institution

Graduated from a Maryland high school, but currently attend a non-Maryland higher education institution

Proficient with ESRI ArcPro and Extensions

Ability to present recommendations clearly and concisely

Assisting the team with testing Salesforce CPQ and Docusign contract management functionality

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science/Management Information Systems

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Assisting with the preparation of records, data, and reports to support the go-live of a new quoting functionality

Assisting with the preparation of required materials to support migrating contracts from old system to new system (Docusign CLM)

Revit and/or AutoCAD experience would be beneficial

Strong written and oral communication skills

HVAC and Plumbing design for various projects

Revit and AutoCAD software packages

Observing construction at various job sites

General project and office/ field support

Create and manage ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices) using the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.

Update bill of materials in the PDM (Product Data Management) system to reflect product changes.

Experience in extra curricular activities outside academic requirements.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Previous internship experience or work-related experience.

Experience using CATIA, Pro-E or a similar CAD system is a plus.
