Americorps Academic Support Coordinator Jobs

Knowledge of administrative/business management to function effectively in position. Organizational skills and project management.

Ability to learn new software if not already proficient, e.g.., ExamSoft, Vantage System, and Canvas Learning Management System.

Provide support to the Executive Associate Dean related to academic affairs and institutional effectiveness.

Provide support for accreditation reports.

Coordinate accreditation activities (maintenance of the report schedule and submission of reports) for the doctor of pharmacy program of the College.

Secure and maintain course focus groups.

Ability to demonstrate: leadership, time management, interpersonal and communication skills; organized, attentive to details, with proficient technical skills.

Equivalent to two (2) years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.

A Master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.

Experience working with a diverse population to include, administrators, coaches, staff, faculty, students and student-athletes preferred.

Experience working as a tutor coordinator with student-athletes or as an educator preferred.

Experience overseeing a population of student workers in addition to program oversight experience preferred.

Three progressive years of academic advising, coaching, or experience working with high risk students in a higher education setting.

Demonstrated experience or knowledge of first-year retention, transfer student success, student completion/graduation efforts, and student success strategies and initiatives.

Other duties as assigned including the potential to supervise undergraduate and/or graduate students as they pertain to specific cohort responsibilities.

Knowledge of EAB Navigate platform.

Experience working with high-risk students.

Four years of relevant experience.

Experience in data analysis and reports preparation

Experience required is within field or closely related field.

Weekly - 5%: Provides direct tutoring to assist students with learning and core curriculum requirements to maximize student success.

Ability to exchange information with individuals and collaborate and colleagues within the College as well as presentation skills

Graduate coursework or certification in higher education student affairs or neurosciences.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion evidenced by personal, work, or educational experience

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Master’s degree and five years professional academic advising experience working directly with students in pre-medical or pre-health professional programs

Experience working with student information systems.

Develop and utilize advising best practices that combine program-level knowledge and campus-wide perspective.

Demonstrate program development and management experience

Previous experience demonstrating strong leadership abilities, influencing others positively while achieving goals, and effectively communicating ideas and generating support for them.

Ability to manage multiple projects; strong planning and organizational skills
