Ambulance Dispatcher Jobs

Assist the Support Services Manager with other duties as assigned.

1+ year of prior experience preferred

Re-stock medical supplies in vehicles, check vehicles for equipment readiness, check vehicles for damage or maintenance issues.

Maintain an accurate record of vehicle intake activities; report any unresolved vehicle deficiencies to the Support Services Coordinator promptly.

Assist with stockroom inventory, maintenance of par levels, and material handling.

Valid NJ Driver's License free of restriction

Meets and maintains qualifications of FAA Commercial Rotorcraft and FAA Instrument Rotorcraft Pilot.

Organizational skills necessary to coordinate services with co-workers, and other departments.

Communication skills necessary to respond to stressful situations in a calm and rational manner.

1000 Hours Helicopter Pilot in Command (PIC).

100 Hours Helicopter Night Unaided.

75 Hours Instrument / Hood (50 helicopter in flight).

(Remote or Onsite in Montana)

Perform ambulance reviews for appropriate level of transport and medical necessity.

Provide “prior authorization” for non-emergency scheduled ambulance use.

Travel authorizations for Town to Town and Out of State.

Provide accurate and complete documentation with rationale used to approve request.

Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in work produced.

Must be able to meet the physical abilities requirements of the position.

Prior experience preferred but not required

Maintain all licensures and certifications required.

Previous Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Experience

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

The ability to obtain a Second-Class Medical

Commercial Certificate with appropriate category and class ratings, Instrument Airplane, or

Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate class ratings. (ATP within 5 years of hire)

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High school diploma. Completion of Certified Ambulance Coder (ACA) program

License/Certifications: CAC Certification, State licensed at the EMT level higher preferred.

Experience: 5-7 years’ experience in EPIC and patient accounting with 5 years of clinical experience preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Demonstrates effective organizational skills and superior team work between all divisions of Aviation to ensure excellence in care to population served.

Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate

Accountable for maintaining an in-depth knowledge and understanding of aviation regulations, policies and procedures.

Fixed Wing Pilot in Command: EMS Experience.

Annual Salary is based on experience and will fall between the range of $85,023 and $121,517.

Total Flight Time = 2,000 hours
