LPN Ambulance/Transportation Reviewer

(Remote or Onsite in Montana)

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed in Montana to join our Patient Services team. This position is responsible for completing reviews to determine medical necessity, closest site of service and appropriateness for out-of-state travel, while meeting contractual requirements. Position requires self-motivation, good organizational skills, a high degree of interpersonal skills, as well as good computer and typing skills. No direct patient care is required in this position.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform ambulance reviews for appropriate level of transport and medical necessity.
• Travel authorizations for Town to Town and Out of State.
• Provide accurate and complete documentation with rationale used to approve request.
• Provide “prior authorization” for non-emergency scheduled ambulance use.
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in work produced.

A successful candidate would have a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in Montana as well as a minimum of one (1) year of experience in acute setting, emergency room and or ambulance service. Previous experience with medical review is desired. Targeted Compensation of $21.00 an hour.
