Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

Undertake additional duties as required by Director and/or Manager of the GEF Programs Division.

In addition to the required skills above, the following skills would be highly desirable:

Experience with GHG emission reductions accounting methodologies;

Experience with integrating climate mitigation solutions, such as low-carbon energy and sustainable transportation, into urban planning processes;

Experience integrating climate mitigation outcomes with biodiversity and/or land restoration;

Excellent technical and working knowledge in various sectors and on integrated, cross-sectoral approaches.

·Experience working with California’s agricultural community or water districts

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Experience supporting multi-stakeholder groups and/or a board of directors

·Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Natural Resources, or a related field.

Frequently coordinate with private industry companies, tour groups, university course instructors and others to develop educational programs

Manage the annual farm budget and develop financial plans to support the long-term sustainability of the farm

Identify educational needs current to today’s agriculture industry and agronomy practices

Manage weed pressure through herbicide application, hoeing, and hand weeding

Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals

Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues

Demonstrated experience in ecosystem or natural resources management in terrestrial ecosystems such as forests, grasslands, and wetlands.

Work effectively with science and management partners on climate change and forest management related research projects.

Work effectively with science and management partners on climate change and forest management related outreach projects and trainings.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills.

Knowledge of climate change science, ecosystem impacts, and climate adaptation options.

Demonstrated experience in compiling, synthesizing, and communicating applied science-based information for natural resource professionals and diverse audiences.

3+ years of experience in project management, community management, or strategic partnership building in a multicultural environment

Demonstrated experience in conducting research and report writing

Demonstrated organization and communication skills (verbal, written and editorial)

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience with multi-stakeholder collaborations is preferred

Outline a possible roadmap of actions to turbocharge climate mitigation, identifying innovators fromm within and beyond the World Economic Forum’s communities

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

Attend livestock sales and place a quality description on the species.

Record the price of livestock sold and categorize them in accordance with their grade.

Prepare reports of market information and present it on area radio stations.

Keep abreast of market trends and prices of agricultural commodities.

Provide technical assistance to farmers, producers, market operators, farm industry leaders and consumer groups in market development.

Experience, skill, and comfort with public speaking.

Certification as a Registered Sanitarian/Registered Environmental Health Specialist (RS/REHS) with the State of Minnesota and/or the National Environmental Health Association.

Experience with regulatory work (i.e., inspection, investigation, compliance, enforcement) in manufactured food establishments.

Experience collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Starting at $80,400-$94,400 per year, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role

Personal experience with relevant systems (i.e. Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Special Education, etc.)

Starting at $21.00- $23.50 hourly, actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role

A Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field

A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience may suffice

Excellent knowledge and skills in the use of GIS Software Applications (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.); and

General knowledge and skills in the use of standard office software, such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

The Agricultural Data Management Specialist/GIS Specialist directly reports to the Assistant FAO Representative for Programme.

Calibrate and implement models in support of TNC agriculture management practice projects

Master's Degree and at least 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Incorporate cross-disciplinary knowledge to support program objectives.

Experience parameterizing and implementing biogeochemical models, such as DayCent, DNDC, RothC, etc.

Experience implementing sampling design methods with a particular emphasis on soil.

Experience working on agricultural climate projects.
