Makes rounds throughout the hospital to retrieve records from patient care areas.
Maintains scanning equipment to ensure clarity of images, and scan documents according to procedures.
Performs all tasks within defined expectations for productivity and quality, to ensure the integrity of the legal medical record.
Picks up, delivers, sorts, and distributes interdepartmental mail.
Retrieves discharged Inpatient charts from the Inpatient Units as needed.
Enters Release of Information telephone requests.

Prepare documents for scanning and process the batched documents through the imaging equipment. Maintain batch-processing records.
Understand workflows in different online queues.
Verify claim number and name, assign category, type, and document date, and route the document electronically to recipient.
