This position is for online/remote adjunct teaching opportunities and does not require a local (Southern California) presence.

Constructive, personalized written comments/feedback on all graded assignments to identify strengths and areas for student improvement.

Adherence to the university “Regular Effective Contact” policy

Response to student inquiries within 24 hours.

Plan and provide instructional experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the program.

Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience or 3 years of professional work experience.

Teach required number of credit hours per quarter based on their contract.

Teach studio, lecture, and/or practicum courses per their contract.

Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes.

Maintain communication with the program director regarding any course or student issues.

Associates Degree in web design, graphic design, or similar. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Suggest new template ideas, elements and customer experiences.

1+ years of related experience working with digital assets for either web or graphic/print production

Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Graphic design experience a plus

Proficient knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, MS Suite

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Typical schedule includes generally less than 25 hours per week with other schedule considerations subject to management approval

Utilize Valmont’s learning management system and provide technical support to end-users

Interest in Learning Management Systems (LMS, i.e. Cornerstone)

This position reports to the Manager Global Learning, has no direct reports and will often collaborate other team members

Experience with: multi-media creation, e-Learning development, or LMS administration

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Enthusiasm to work with students and pass on your knowledge and skills

Commercial experience designing games, ideally across a range of platforms and genres

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A desire to maintain and learn new skills relating to new technology and software used by industry.

Delivering the course content using a combination of practical tutorials, lectures and one to one support

Develop test plans and procedures to ensure the developed product meets the specified requirements.

At least 3 years of relevant experience

Experience with FPGA design using the latest generation Xilinx or Intel chipsets

Knowledge of RTL simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis

Experience with ADCs, DACs, DDR memories

Knowledge of communication standards such as SPI, I2C, Ethernet and AXI

Solid knowledge of the latest version of Adobe Illustrator applied to layout capabilities, digital drawing, and vector image transformation.

Proficiency in (or willingness to learn) the use of instructional technology and online learning management systems

REMOTE ASYNCHRONOUS: 3-hour weekly live Zoom meetings scheduled from 3-6pm or 7-10pm.

Communicate with Program Director, Program Representatives and Online Course Managers in a timely manner

Stay current regarding the professional body of knowledge in the field of addictions

Professional work experience, teaching background and advanced degree

Two(2) or three (3) years of teaching experience at a community college

Facilitate instruction through the use of slides, lectures, discussion, gallery and museum visitations, written and appropriate art studio projects.

Assess and grade students' work in a timely and professional manner

Participate in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment (SLOA) Process

Attend Professional Development workshops and trainings

Communicate effectively with students as well as the office of English, Humanities, Visual and Performing Arts

Exceptional verbal communication skills, with strong public speaking abilities and presentation skills.

Responsible for the planning, development, and evolution of educational programs.

Supervise Program Directors to ensure the seamless integration of general education learning outcomes within each of program.

Maximize the many industry opportunities that are offered to our students.

Manage, implement, and evaluate the design, structure, quality, consistency, and continuity of the program curriculum, lesson plans, and all class materials.

Maintain compliance with ACCSC Standards of Accreditation, state laws, and the Department of Education.
