Assist other Finance department personnel with clerical duties as required.

Act as backup mail clerk in regular mail clerk’s absence.

Work collaboratively with other Accounting Technicians to accomplish shared responsibilities in a rotational assignment environment.

Verify timesheets for accurate recording of information and compliance with county policy, union contracts, State and Federal labor law.

Under the guidance of the Accounting Analyst, perform steps in processing employee payroll for any given pay period.

Maintain employee payroll files, electronic and paper, for current and terminated employees:

A current resume of your educational and professional work experience.

Experience presenting information clearly and concisely via spreadsheets and written reports.

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.

Good problem solving skills and ability to bring parties together to constructively resolve issues.

Experience using and processing payroll in Workday or similar HRIS system.
