Accounting Advisory Apprentice Jobs

Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting/finance.

Conducting operational due diligence for complex transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises, and IPOs.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required, along with the ability to seamlessly integrate into teams.

Strong technical skills and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting are essential.

Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities are desired.

Performing accounting projects focused on separating business units or subsidiaries.

Interact directly with managers and partners on matters related to client and engagement management

Communicate with business owners, executive management, investors, lenders and other sophisticated parties to ensure delivery of exceptional client service

Intermediate modeling and excel skills, experience conducting complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis and ability to generate data-driven insights

Actively participate in projects focused on the following service offerings:

Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards

2-4 years' experience in a large accounting firm in audit, financial advisory service line

Opens, sorts and distribute mail for the Financial Management Division.

Administrative support practices and procedures to include writing, editing and report writing techniques, recording meeting notes, record keeping and records management

Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Stamp and log check payments received from customers.

Coordinate with the Comptroller's office to update incorrect vendor information or delete vendor payments that posted with errors.

Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is a plus

Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)

Strong organization, communication and analytical skills

Able to operate in a paperless workplace and strong computer skills

Knowledge of ProSystem FX or other accounting programs a plus

Junior or Senior working towards an Accounting degree

Passion for helping clients and making sure their accounting systems are producing accurate information to help management run their businesses

Assisting new businesses with local and federal registration requirements

Experience doing similar work for a CPA firm or in industry

Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions

Knowledge of CS Accounting (Creative Solutions)

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Must have strong accounting and project management skills

Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations required, with SEC reporting and capital markets transaction experience a plus

Experience with revenue recognition, purchase accounting and lease accounting a plus.

Knowledge of IFRS – a plus

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

2-3 years of applicable work or internship experience (preferably in a bookkeeper or accountant type role in an accounting department).

Demonstrated knowledge and practical use of Microsoft Office platforms and other accounting software applications, including Xero, QuickBooks, bill.com, Expensify, Concur, Excel.

Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and macros a plus).

Positive, enthusiastic energy and the interpersonal skills to work with individuals inside and outside of the organization.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Learn the process and procedures of the life cycle of accounting through hands-on experience.
