About your Role:
Youth Mentors are responsible for developing structured and positive relationships with young people that empower them to succeed in everyday life. Services are primarily delivered in a community setting, to youth with identified behavioral and/or mental health concerns placed in ODHS foster homes. Youth mentoring is client driven and provided during times identified as most relevant to the consumer (including nights, early mornings, and occasional weekends). Youth mentors will use a combination of modalities including Motivational Interviewing and Collaborative Problem Solving when working with consumers to identify and accomplish specific goals identified by the consumer.

Youth mentors will use a combination of modalities including Motivational Interviewing and Collaborative Problem Solving when working with consumers to identify and accomplish specific goals identified by the consumer.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Timely completion of service plans, case notes, and reports (includes daily, weekly, and monthly reporting)
- Provide indirect services for consumers (contacting caseworkers or service team members, documentation, travel time)
- Provide direct, youth mentoring services to consumers, primarily in a community setting
- Identifying appropriate location and timing of youth mentoring with consumers (including unconventional hours such as late nights, early mornings, and/or on occasional weekends)
- Regular and frequent driving to meet consumer needs; including consumer transportation
- Provide a minimum of 25 billable service hours per week with at least 12 hours being direct
- Work as a service team member for consumer with frequent communication with other team members including incident reporting
- Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the program and/or company
- Respond to referrals for new consumers within 24-hour timeline
- Valid Driver License with clean driving record
- A minimum of a High School Diploma
- Valid Driver License with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid – provided by agency
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) – provided by agency
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
- 1 year of relevant experience (additional education or life experience may substitute)
