Job Title: On Mountain Crewmember
Job Status: Seasonal
- Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to $19.10+ actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Job Summary:
On Mountain F&B Crewmembers are responsible for all day to day business objectives of the operation and adhere to culinary guidelines. This includes continual rotation of job duties that include but are not limited to: food preparation, food handling, light bartending, grill duties, bussing, cashiering, barista, food runner, merchandising, snow removal, stocking, monitoring par levels of inventory, trash removal, dishwashing, cleaning, guest service, etc. The on-mountain crewmember position requires working outside in cold conditions for long portions of time.
This position works on the mountain and skiing or riding is required to get to and from work on a daily basis. You must be able to ski/ride at an intermediate level and own your own equipment, including a helmet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with overall restroom cleanliness and duties when needed
- Great guest service; continually striving to exceed guest's expectations
- Ability to interact and work well with others
- Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures will be followed at all times
- Must have the ability to take ownership of the position
- Willingness to get involved in all daily duties and tasks
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Adhering to all sanitation codes and policies while at the workplace
- Always reporting to work in a punctual fashion
- Must always be polite and respectful of our guests and employees
Guest Service Duties:
- Be sure restaurant is ready to open at designated times
- Make the guest feel welcome: Engage in small talk, Smile always
- Be sure our guests have what they need
- Working throughout the day to ensure operation is clean and inviting
- Support members through teamwork and mutual respect
- Answer inquiries from guests
- Use suggestive selling techniques to further sales and enhance guest enjoyment.
- Be sure restaurant is sufficiently stocked with all supplies
- Assist in general cleaning of the building
- Proper sequence of service (specific to individual restaurant).
- Clean-up as needed
- Maintain work area, keep it clean and organized
- Proper cash handling and cash reconciliation
- Greeting and serving guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper "culture" with our guests and employees. Upholds the most professional image. Continually strives to exceed our guest's expectations and create memories for our guests and staff.

Basic Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Must be able to multi task, prioritize and organize
- Peripheral, color, and depth vision are essential.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be an experienced skier/rider with own equipment including industry certified helmet
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must have the dexterity to use all equipment and utensils normally associated with this position
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to negotiate stairs
- The use of hands and arms for periods of up to six hours
- TIPS certification preferable, may be obtained after employment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, any times or days needed
- Must be fluent in English
- 18 years of age or older, required to sell alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work calmly in a high stress environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (will include nights on special event weekends and holidays)
- Must own non-slip shoes
- Vision must be within normal range to work safely and to read written information
- The senses of taste and smell are used frequently
- Must be able to hear normal conversations in a busy, crowded environment
Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
- Previous food court/restaurant/QSR experience is advantageous
- Experience Cash Handling with accuracy
- Ability to develop basic culinary skills. Ex: competent knife skills and basic prepping techniques.
