Job Description
Primary Responsibilities Include
Our team supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC) has an immediate need for a Windows System Administrator with demonstrated experience conducting Windows maintenance and administration tasks on a complex enterprise-scale network.
  • Perform day-to-day monitoring and maintenance for Windows Systems including installing updates, configuring/verifying backups, and conducting routine health checks
  • Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
  • Must have 4 or more years of progressive Windows and VMWare administration experience in an enterprise-scale environment
  • Review and update STIG requirements and checklists and remediate/document findings as needed
  • Maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager system by configuring patch releases for deployment to MSC fleet workstations and servers, monitoring for issues, configuring bandwidth limitation policies, and assisting MSC customers by configuring automated reports to meet their needs
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and process flow diagrams
  • Must be able to accommodate working the second shift (work hours are 1500-2330)
  • Diagnose and repair Windows 10, Windows 2012R2, and newer Windows Server operating systems
  • Must be able to get appropriate Computing Environment certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01M within 6 months of hire
