Primary Duties:

• Evaluating and responding to enterprise-wide system alerts with the objective to remediate this issue directly or escalate to required Subject Matter Experts
• Reviewing and triaging ITSM items for IT Infrastructure Division teams including Networking, Systems Administration (Unix/Linux/Windows), Unified Communication, SAN, Backup/Recover, etc.
• Fulfill and/or completing low to moderate ITSM items will limited supervision for the Systems Administration Team

Overall Expectations and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the integration and documentation of new applications and technologies
• Available to meet on-premise (2-day minimum) and work-from-home (3-day maximum) requirements; including deployment to offsite locations as needed (any day/time)
• A strong work ethic and self-motivated with a proven track record of completing projects with moderate direction/supervision and with an aggressive implementation timeline
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, demanding, 24/7 environment with 5000 users and 1000 servers. The position includes participation in a weekly 24/7 on-call support rotation.
• Hands-on ability to both maintain/upgrade existing systems and design/deploy new technologies while adhering to best practices and business-level objectives
• Hands-on experience with Dell Server Technologies (including Blades/Chassis) preferred

Required Skills and Technology Experience:

• This position requires a High school diploma or GED; supplemented by college-level coursework or vocational/technical training in Systems Administration or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job
• DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services (PKI)
• Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Server 2008 R2 through Server 2022) – installation, configuration, patching, and compliance remediation
• 3+ years supporting large enterprise environments
• Minimum 500 users
• Minimum 250 servers (mix of physical and virtual)
• 3+ years of Enterprise System Monitoring, Log Management, and Event Analysis. Solarwinds Orion and/or Microsoft Operations Manager (SCOM) Preferred
• 3+ years of Enterprise Patching, Software Packaging, and OS Image Deployment – Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) or similar technologies
• 3+ years of basic networking (VLANs, sub-netting, high availability NIC configuration, LACP)
• Combination of 250 workstations and servers if prior responsibilities involved direct work on both types of systems
• Windows Failover Clustering with a primary focus on Clustered File Services and DFS (Distributed File System) Namespaces
• Powershell Scripting
• Active Directory & Group Policies (AGPM a plus)
• 3+ years of daily tasks based around Microsoft Core On-Premise Technologies
