Job Summary:

  • Welder in the production process to create finished assemblies and subassemblies for chiller modules while reading and understanding blueprint/schematics.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for laying out prepared materials and completing welds to complete a finished assembly.
  • Prepare materials to be welded by completing cutting, notching, and drilling per the job blueprints and schematics.
  • Read 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional blueprints and schematics to determine dimensions, design, and materials needed for performing duties.
  • Assist with other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Competency in reading blueprints and diagrams to interpret weld specifications.
  • Able to use simple hand tools.
  • Must be able to interpret fractions, decimals, multiplication, and division.
  • Able to read measurement tools to accurately layout material.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
  • Actively practices and promotes safety.
  • 1 or more years of welding or equivalent experience (Certification Preferred)
  • Knowledge of physical properties and welding characteristics of metal, effects of heat, welding shrinkage, welding techniques, and allowance for shrinkage.
  • Committed to continuous improvement in products, services, and processes.
