Job Description
Under limited supervision, responsible for technical aspects of the College websites, portals, and mobile apps to include programming, application, and documentation. Troubleshoots performance issues such as speed of access and site content. Responsible for auditing the website and applications for accessibility, responsiveness, and performance.
Minimum Base Pay: $54,399.00. All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidate's education and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Works with users of information services applications. Responds to questions on an ongoing basis.
  • Designs new computing systems, applications, programs, and procedures. Installs and implements systems corresponding procedures and manuals. Maintains existing data processing systems, programs and documentation. Develops new and modifies existing application programs; may include report writing applications. Test programs or systems. Verifies that data input is accurate, complete, and usable for processing.
  • Functions in an on-call capacity for response to hardware, software and/or network systems repair needed during normal business hours or instances where the college is closed.
  • Collects data and evaluates the performance of data processing systems. Fine tunes systems as required.
  • Tests new or updated end user products in an integrated systems environment.
  • Designs, develops, implements, and maintains the College’s Internet presence. Including, but not limited to, web page and site creation, software selection, managing related committees, policy development, web server statistics generation and interpretation.
  • Resolves system errors or failures. Involves identifying system problems and implementing corrective actions. Problems addressed include hardware, software, and procedures.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to create specifications for changes assisting users in the flow of their work processes or procedures.
  • Develops, maintains, and monitors the College’s web site. Develops web templates using multiple development software.
  • Plans, schedules and prepares user training, including development of training guides, and documentation.
  • Installs and provides technical support for software applications and programs used by staff and faculty.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED with six years of related working experience; OR
  • Experience to include a variety of 3rd/4th generation languages, C#, and other .NET programming languages
  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study with four years of related working experience
Knowledge of:
  • IIS Web Server Management (Internet Information Services)
  • Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)
  • JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)
  • Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSLT)
  • Google Developer Products (maps, analytics, etc.)
  • Adobe Photoshop or similar
  • Extensible Markup Language (XML)
  • Web accessibility
  • .NET Programming Language (C#)
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
  • JavaScript
  • Responsive Design
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
Skill in:
  • Digital photo re-sizing and manipulation
  • Effective customer service
  • Good verbal and written communications
Ability to:
  • Query Database using SQL
  • Design web templates using Stylesheets
  • Update .NET projects
  • Update web pages using basic HTML tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study
Knowledge of:
  • Bootstrap

  • Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • React or similar JavaScript library
