Job Description
Job Summary


The Web Communication Specialist will use the university’s content management system and calendar platform to provide an excellent user experience to support recruitment strategies. Reporting to the director for digital communication and marketing the Web Communication Specialist is a well-organized, customer service-oriented professional who works as a part of a small, dynamic marketing and strategic communication team to develop web content, select assets, optimize the user experience, and provide consistent quality control through routine website audits and ongoing website maintenance.


Required Qualifications


  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within deadlines
  • Experience writing and editing website copy
  • Experience creating and maintaining websites using a content management system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of a university admissions process and marketing and brand strategy
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients


Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of GA4 Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience writing email and social media marketing copy
  • Experience with Omni CMS
  • AP writing style
  • Knowledge of the latest information related to web and social media trends, website accessibility and usability, and SEO
  • Knowledge of state government and higher education
