This position functions as a top-level technical contributor on projects and is responsible for meeting with management to define and design applications as well as providing technical consultation and training to team members, project leaders, managers, departments, faculty, and related university personnel and organizations. This position also serves in a project management support role for projects assigned to the team.
Other job duties include systems analysis, maintenance & problem resolution, business process analysis, testing, and documentation.

Project documentation should be sufficient to explain tasks to other developers and stakeholders. Promote positive customer relationships and to mentor others to ensure customer satisfaction.
System Analysis – 15
Understand systems, applications, and processes currently in use, and the capabilities of those systems. Understand how new development integrates with enterprise systems and when it is time for things to be archived, updated, replaced, or removed. Investigate and implement new systems as necessary, while minimizing dependencies in all systems.
Maintenance/Problem Resolution – 15
Monitor systems and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted and accurate function of these systems. Report and respond to issues and support tickets as they arise. Determine root cause, then consult with, or route issues to other resources as appropriate to implement, verify, test, and deploy a resolution.
Business Process Analysis – 10
Work with functional areas and project managers to understand business requirements and implement systems that meet those requirements. Advocate for the implementation of appropriate technology for the given scenario to make efficient use of existing enterprise systems. Ensure the system being analyzed is accurately modeled to simplify coding and future modifications to the system as requirements evolve over time.
Testing – 5
Ensure that code you release is free of production issues using a variety of testing scenarios and methodologies. The integrity of production data and the production environment must be maintained. Software released must work as expected from the user perspective, and production rollbacks or inactivation should never occur due to inadequate testing and verification. Facilitate the development of testing skills in other team members.

Training – 5
