Warehouse Shipping Associate - 2Nd Shift

5 days of 8 hour shifts weekly: 5:30pm - 2:00am

$19.00 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

As a Warehouse Shipping Associate, you’ll help the distribution center meet its goals by building, wrapping, and loading pallets into outbound trailers for delivery to our retail stores (training provided).

Play an active role in helping your team and your customer win.

• Verify accuracy of completed pallets and resolve any discrepancies
• Build pallets of cases and totes for shipment to stores
• Operate automated shrink-wrapping machine to wrap pallets
• Move product around warehouse using MHE
• Load finished pallets into outbound trailers with material handling equipment (MHE), such as pallet jack
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned
• Observe safety and damage procedures to avoid injury and damage to product

Essential skills and experience:

• Staples does not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Have basic English language, reading and writing skills; basic math and data entry
• Demonstrated regular attendance and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Perform moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity, regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, pull/push, twist, reach, climb ladders and crouch
• Can work in hot environment of approximately 95 degrees F at upper levels during the summer
• Detail oriented, ability to follow directions and collaborative with other team members
• Physical or manual labor experience is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 62 lbs, work at average heights of up to 8-9 feet but up to 29 feet at times, and around a conveyor belt system
• Able to work a Monday - Friday night schedule
