They are expanding operations and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Product Development and Innovation to join their dynamic executive team.
Role Overview:
As the Vice President, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of 2 product divisions. In this leadership role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, develop and execute business plans, and optimize the performance of these portfolios. This is a critical position that requires a combination of business acumen, industry knowledge, and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the executive team to establish annual budgets, expenses, pricing, COGS, financial targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring adherence to financial objectives and tracking performance metrics.
- Oversee the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of innovative and high-quality cosmetics and fragrance offerings.
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging technologies to ensure compliance and facilitate innovation within the division.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive landscape, making informed recommendations and adjustments to optimize business outcomes.
- Assume full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the division, implementing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities, new product development possibilities, and emerging market trends.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry partners, to enhance collaboration, negotiate contracts, and secure strategic partnerships.
- Lead the overall strategy, development, and management , ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and market trends.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 5-year business plan, outlining clear strategies, milestones, and deliverables to drive long-term growth and market expansion.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing industry, with a strong track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and influence key stakeholders.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful business plans and product innovation strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field; MBA a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in profit and loss (P&L) management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
