VP, Product Management


What does a VP of Product Management for Digital Banking do?


You will lead and optimize strategic product management activities for all market segments and our Open Data platform solution offering in Financial Institutions Group. You’ll lead a team to build winning solutions in each market segment that enable banks to fundamentally grow their businesses. Ensuring that the needs of the market segments are clearly understood, you’ll lead the development of a multi-year strategy, and drive cross-functional execution to ensure resources are aligned to the growth objectives. Key objectives will include driving enhancements to our current product offerings, propelling utilization of lean and agile processes and winning new logos for our core solutions by leading with our Open Data products.


What You Will Do


  • Work with Development and Delivery teams to achieve desired outcomes through successful delivery of the product roadmap.
  • Manage product management team comprised of market-facing and delivery-focused associates.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional team through all aspects of the Product Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC). Prioritize incoming work to identify areas of focus for future delivery.
  • Bring best practices to the table that incorporate an understanding of Open Data product adoption and the ability to optimize product performance and user experience for each.
  • Help reshape and re-determine Fiserv’s Product Management’s Practices including identification and solution definition for market problems, build/buy/partner decisions, and go-to-market activities.
  • Develop pricing and positioning strategies for product suite.


What You Need To Have


  • Minimum of ten years of experience in financial technology product management with a focus on data analytics in the financial industry ; managing products in a license, professional services, and SaaS type of business models. P&L management of $50M to $100M in annual revenue.
  • New product build and launch experience, with working knowledge of managing existing clients through version and new product upgrades.
  • Business model transformation experience (significant technology changes, business model changes).
  • BS/BA and/or equivalent applicable working experience required. Advanced degree a plus.
  • Experience and proficiency in product management standards and practices, with end-to-end product management discipline.


What Would Be Great To Have


  • High degree of domain expertise, and a genuine curiosity for, emerging technologies such as Cloud, APIs / Services, DevOps, Agile Development, Digital Form Factors (Mobile/Voice), Artificial Intelligence, and Analytics.
  • A willingness to challenge convention and bring new and fresh perspectives to the company as it relates to digital solutions and more holistically around product management.
  • High degree of empathy for users, clients, and channel/ecosystem partners, and experience in using user journey mapping, value-based product prioritization, and other Lean/Agile product management practices to drive product adoption and client satisfaction.
  • The ability to take those perspectives and approaches and turn them into actionable processes and deliverables and drive delivery.
  • Proven leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and to be able to make balanced judgments when faced with trade-offs.
