Job Description
Position Summary


This position functions as a key part of the senior leadership team that coordinates and ensures client deliverables are successfully met. In this role they will work with Xtend teams to teach, support, and consult on credit union operations and the solutions that the CUSO provides.


The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.


This role is also responsible for Xtend's daily deliverables to ensure the "train schedules" are running on time. This role shares the goal of expanding our interactions with clients and partners.


Essential Job Functions


  • Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization's operations division.
  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
  • Establishes and administers the department's budget.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
  • Collaborates with other stakeholders and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS


  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites to provide support, consultative services, and co-develop new strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Four-year degree in business-related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Self-directed, able to take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to work closely with credit union senior management, third party vendors, and principals of potential Xtend business partners.
  • Experience developing and implementing long-term sales and marketing strategies.
  • Experience in working effectively with technical personnel.
  • Proven experience and skill in leading and developing people.
  • Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
  • Extensive knowledge of credit union operations, regulations and procedures.
  • Extensive experience in selling and marketing data processing and software products to the credit union/banking industry.
