Job Description

Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created position will entail managing a team of IT professionals, both in administrative and field roles.


Our client has over 2,000 employees, in North America and Europe, making sustainable building products possible.


As the VP of IT, your responsibilities include leading IT and IS functions globally, coordinating policy development for improvements in IT performance, identifying and recommending resources for IT goals, and collaborating with leaders on daily and strategic IT objectives.



Responsibilities:

  • Ensure solutions are designed to be easily and naturally adopted by end users
  • Manage and monitor IT KPI’s for service provided to the business
  • Build and develop strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
  • Develop, justify, manage, and refine annual budgets for both operational and capital spend
  • Manage vendor relationships; negotiate with potential and existing vendors including MSA’s, pricing, SOW’s, and terms
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a diverse team of direct reports including succession planning
  • Identify, prioritize, and provide justification for the implementation of business-focused IT solutions solving multiple goals such as cost savings, efficiency, data collection/availability, and revenue generation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and achieve the stated goals
  • Collaborate with Business Leaders to identify challenges that can be addressed with Technology
  • Ensure resources are appropriately prioritized, balanced, and applied across multiple active projects
  • Oversee multiple IT operational functions including Networking, Services (Service Desk and Techs), Mobility, Communications/Telephony, System Engineers/Administrators, and Business Application configuration & development
  • Program management for both IT operations and solution implementation
  • Oversee change management and communications as it relates to IT systems
  • Evaluate, manage, and mitigate risk associated with IT systems (solution lifecycle management, new technologies & capabilities, cybersecurity, staffing)
  • Develop and implement Cybersecurity best practices (systems and procedures) to ensure the company’s systems and data are secure


Requirements:

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies that drive innovation and growth
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership
  • Strong technical expertise in infrastructure, marketing technology, legacy CRM, digital tools, website, support services, and cyber security.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading an organization successfully through an ERP implementation, strategic planning and integrating businesses
  • Ability to develop talent and create ways to better service employees and teams to improve productivity
  • Exceptional communication skills: develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Driven to achieve results, holding self and others accountable to meet goals and commitments
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline
