Overview:
The Vice President, Information Technology is responsible for Northwest Lineman College's technical landscape, technology strategies, road maps, plans, resourcing, staffing, and general accountability success. This position leads the approval, planning, creation, implementation, security, and maintenance efforts of the company's Information Systems and processes. Additionally, this role sets the strategic direction of NLC's Information Systems by identifying and recommending new technologies, conducting assessments and evaluations, assessing systems analysis results, and approving the use of hardware and software services. The VP of IT monitors and oversees progress on all projects ensuring the reliability of all infrastructure systems, and applications before, during, and after project completion and delivery.

In this position you will have the opportunity to::
  • Provides project management, organizational communication, and alignment of key IS projects.
  • Plans and develops policies, guidelines, technical specifications, and processes with related documentation to address business needs and protect NLC’s IS ecosystem
  • Identifies new and improves existing technologies to support future business needs
  • Provides executive presence and leadership to enhance human capital and the external student experience
  • Translates business and user requirements into manageable and scalable technology solutions
  • Manages and oversees a comprehensive technology-based infrastructure to ensure users’ needs are met and data is processed according to company specifications and requirements (Users include both internal and external customers)
  • Actively coaches and mentors team members in their professional development
  • Articulates a compelling vision, inspiring and motivating team members, leading them to achieve their organizational goals aligned with business strategies
  • Responsible for developing and implementing multi-year technology plans effectively integrating with an Education Technology Road Map
Required Education & Experience::
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience managing an IT department of a medium or large size company; or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • Experience managing technical staff in multiple and remote locations
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience base with the use and applicability of current technologies and products used in the industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Operations Management (OM), or Business Administration (BA)
The successful candidate will possess the following::
  • High standard of professionalism, integrity, and leadership acumen
  • Demonstrated competence as a seasoned and effective leader
  • High level of abstract reasoning, including flexible thinking, creativity, judgement and logical problem-solving
  • Bachelor’s MBA or other Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours that allow for both day and evening customer contact, to include some occasional travel
  • Ability to attend to details while maintaining a big picture orientation
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Knowledge of strategic planning processes and project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication and listening skills in English, both oral and written
  • Strong business experience with proven ability to meet or exceed performance objectives
Salary:
$175k+ annually, DOE
