Location:

Overview:
We are looking for a Vice President, Global Controller with a strong accounting background and proven success in process optimization and automation. This role will drive results through problem solving, cross-functional partnering and leadership. Responsibilities also include management of acquisition and integration support for our global organization.
Summary:
This is a global position and will partner closely with Regional Accounting teams around the world, as well as Treasury, FP&A, Tax and Human Resources. The position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Critical success factors for this role will include a dynamic leadership presence, highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, proactively deal with difficult situations and communicate appropriately with all levels of stakeholders.
What you will do:
  • Responsibilities include financial close, reporting, equity accounting and administration, deal integration, and implementing scalable systems and processes to support our continued expansion.
  • Oversight of the company’s financial and accounting policies and procedures for recording financial transactions, account reconciliations, financial reporting, developing estimates to be used for financial reporting and planning purposes, and internal controls. Partner with stakeholders to operationalize best practices.
  • Governance over the roadmap and future planning efforts for financial systems with the goal of more efficient processes, lower support costs, and alignment to company objectives. Continuously evaluate existing financial systems with recommendations for expanded functionality or implementation of new systems.
  • Work closely with all members of the organization to plan for and execute efficient and effective monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, as well as enable high-quality financial-based decision making.
  • Work closely with Information Technology for successful implementation, upgrades, and maintenance of financial systems.
  • Direct the corporate accounting team members, develop, and coach team members to reach their greatest potential and contribution to the Company.
  • Work closely with FP&A team on reporting efforts related to senior leadership presentations, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting of actuals.
  • Manage and collaborate with onshore and offshore resources to deliver strategic projects and solutions in a cost-effective manner.
  • Function as a hands-on business leader working with the senior management team to implement and execute financial and operational strategies.
  • Assist in special accounting and finance projects on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Support Mergers and Acquisition work, identify possible issues and necessary remediation steps, due-diligence, deal structure terms, develop and lead accounting integrations plans.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to support quarterly and annual reporting and audit requirements by providing timely & accurate data and communication.
  • Interface with finance resources in a variety of countries and time zones to coordinate the global financial close process.
What we are looking for:
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Generate alternative solutions,

  • Operational Controllership experience required with the ability to support the needs of the key operating teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Facilitate problem identification,
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to apply sound judgment in order to:

    • adapt to changing situations, and
    • manage issues to a successful resolution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in Accounting.

  • Demonstrated professional commitment, initiative, accountability, and ownership of assignments.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, power point and Outlook) required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication, especially in developing positions and presenting to management, auditors, and non-accounting stakeholders.
  • A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills with extensive experience managing multiple complex assignments simultaneously.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
