The Position
Arch created its Digital Partners team with the goal of becoming the industry’s first choice digital partner. As Vice President, Digital Partners, at Arch Insurance, Inc., you will play a key role in advancing Arch’s position in the InsurTech ecosystem, while supporting how Arch thinks about its digital business and innovation strategy. You will help drive Insurtech investment activities, proactively conduct analysis of opportunities, formulate insights, and deliver recommendations.
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute investment due diligence documentation, financial modeling scenarios, and investment memorandum.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Arch’s existing product suite and digital business needs.
  • Coordinate Arch’s engagement with Insurtech accelerators, conferences, events, and networking opportunities for internal and external teams.
  • Curate insights about trends in the Insurtech marketplace and the potential impact to Arch business units.
  • Drive Arch’s thought leadership in the InsurTech ecosystem through industry and conference speaking engagements.
  • Review and prioritize prospects and recommend most relevant opportunities to Arch Business Units.
  • Build upon the existing network of entrepreneurs, VCs, and industry groups.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor start-ups in the Insurtech ecosystem – including analysis of solutions, key people, financials, business plans, intellectual property, and partnerships.
  • Manage and maintain tools for research, identifying trends tracking companies, and producing deal flow.
Skills/Experience
  • Deep understanding and minimum 5+ years’ experience working with InsurTech start-ups and/or conducting financial due diligence.
  • Strong verbal communication skills – sharing perspectives with the team and managing relationships with external industry contacts.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, especially with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record of developing/growing their career.
  • 10+ years’ experience of insurance industry experience, preferably in commercial lines.
  • Strong written communication skills – creating reports, presentations, and other visuals to showcase information about trends, companies, or markets.
  • Ability to work independently in a small and nimble team, and a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to successfully work across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong associative thinking skills.
Education
  • Lifelong learner demonstrated by continuing professional development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any rigorous academic subject.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in Jersey City, New York City, and/ or Westchester County, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$180,000 - $200,000/year
  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
