Visual Designer Jobs

Note: This candidate needs to be in Chicago since they will want to collaborate in-office sometimes. Will be mostly remote.

Must have: Adobe (AEM), Figma, Sketch.

Description:

• This hands-on design role will help educate designers to ensure UI consistency by contributing to our product design language for iOS, Android, and Web. You will support the production of intuitive and efficient user experiences, as well as mentor other designers by guiding them through the implementation of the design system standards.
• You are an experienced designer who continually advocates for best-in-class design practices and trends. You may also be a systems thinker with hands-on experience contributing to designing system libraries for enterprise products. Communicating clearly and displaying exceptional collaboration skills by breaking down silos between designers and developers is your specialty. You’re also extremely capable of working with a sense of urgency and high standards of quality and consistency.

Ideal Candidate:

• More focused on Visual Design vs heavy on UI/UX. They would rather have someone that is artistically talented than experienced.

Soft Skills:

• Agile/flexible mindset. Coachable and not stuck in their ways. Has the instinct of "design is about what you take away, not add on"
• 2-5 years of experience.
• Comfortable displaying the design system and educating others on how to use it.

Preferred:

• UI/UX background, consumer-facing app experience, and design system experience.
