With offices in both the US and Caribbean, we have positioned ourselves to serve the North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean markets.

About the Role

As we expand our presence in North and Latin America, we are seeking to recruit on a contract basis, a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced visual content creator to produce graphics and other visual collateral to accompany the long and short form content produced by the content writer or other members of the team. The candidate would be expected to produce visual content across all spectrums, from charts and infographics to images to accompany written content and social media advertisements.

The successful candidate should be able to:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry related visual design trends.
• Thrive in a collaborative, fast paced environment with a diverse team.
• Be adept at varying the style and other characteristics of visual content based on the industry, company, and/or target audience.
• Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent visual design.
• Raise the bar continually for creating fresh visual content that connects with our desired audience and drives action.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and illustrating concepts by studying relevant information and materials, designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval.
• Creating visuals for presentations, leaflets, swag, stickers, logos, infographics, and potentially smaller animations among others.
• Liaising with the ecosystem to contribute creative assets and establishing the Safe brand further by implementing a consistent brand tone of voice in the content.
• Creating, executing, and curating regular content for our company blogs, social media channels, marketing, and sales collateral.
• Planning a content calendar, including key moments, alongside other teams and in-turn establishing a cadence.
• Creating full campaigns with several pieces of content across various platforms by innovatively repurposing talks, events, spaces, community calls etc. into visual media.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Two or more years’ experience as a visual content creator or in a related field.
• Demonstrable graphic and visual design skills with a strong professional portfolio.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Experience with computer-aided design.
• A strong eye for visual composition.
• Able to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and/or Illustrator among others.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.
• Knowledge of content management systems.
• Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript or other web technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual design or related fields.
• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertisements, and multimedia design.

Language Skills

• English required
• Business Spanish preferred
